Synopsis for the far southern California coast

At 1 PM, a 1000 mb low was over Death Valley and a 1028 mb high
was 800 NM west of San Francisco. Northwest winds will increase
in the outer waters this afternoon and evening, with peak gusts of
20-25 kt. Winds will strengthen again Sunday afternoon and
evening, with peak gusts of 25-30 kt, strongest in the outer
coastal waters. Combined seas will increase to 8 to 11 feet in
the outer waters Sunday evening through Monday morning. Seas will
subside Monday with weak offshore flow Monday morning into
Tuesday morning. Weak onshore flow follows for Tuesday afternoon
through Thursday.
