Synopsis for the far Southern California coast

At 12 PM, a 1017 mb high was 600 NM west of Punta Eugenia, Mexico
and a 1002 mb low was over eastern Oregon. South winds will
increase today. A powerful storm will arrive Tuesday, bringing
southerly gales and hazardous seas into Wednesday. There is the
potential for thunderstorms and waterspouts Tuesday night and
Wednesday morning. Winds and seas will gradually subside late
Wednesday and Thursday. Northwest winds will increase once again
late Friday, which could bring more hazardous conditions.
