SYNOPSIS FOR THE SOUTHERN OREGON COASTAL WATERS
Periods of
heavy rain, strong southerly winds, and choppy wind driven seas
combined with moderate swell are expected through Saturday. The
first in a series of fronts is moving through the waters this
morning, bringing gusty south winds and steep to very steep
hazardous seas through late this afternoon. A very strong front
is expected Thursday, with strong southerly gales likely and very
steep hazardous seas. Occasional gusts to storm force are possible
on Thursday. Seas will peak late Thursday morning into Thursday
evening, then remain elevated through Saturday. A break in the
weather Saturday afternoon into Sunday will lead to gradually
improving conditions.
