.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 16Z or 8 AM PST, a 1024 MB surface high
was centered 800 NM southwest of Point Conception and extended into
Utah. The high off the coast will strengthen and push closer to the
coast through early next week resulting in strengthening NW flow.
Gale force winds are possible with widespread steep seas. Dense fog
will impact the waters south of Point Conception through at least
today.
