SYNOPSIS FOR PASCAGOULA TO ATCHAFALAYA RIVER OUT 60 NM
A broad area of high pressure centered to the southeast of the waters will keep a prevailing southwest wind of around 10 knots in place through Monday. Only a light chop is expected on the waters due to waves of 1 to 2 feet over this time period. On Tuesday, a weak front will slip through the waters and winds will briefly shift to the north at 5 to 10 knots. By Wednesday, southerly flow of 5 to 10 knots and fairly calm seas of 1 to 2 feet will return as high pressure over the eastern Gulf once again becomes the dominant feature in the Gulf. These conditions will last through the end of next week.
