SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS

A cold front will move across the coastal waters this morning,
clearing out the dense fog. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms may occur today and tonight. Weak to moderate
onshore flow this morning will shift to the north and increase to
strong levels by this afternoon behind the cold front. A Small
Craft Advisory is in effect beginning this afternoon. Advisory
conditions are expected through Tuesday. Scattered showers will
decrease from west to east Tuesday and offshore flow will weaken
to moderate levels through Tuesday afternoon. Moderate northerly
flow Tuesday evening will transition to weak northeast flow on
Wednesday, then weak onshore flow Wednesday night as high pressure
departs to the northeast. As onshore flow becomes moderate by
late week, increasing moisture will contribute to a few showers by
Friday ahead of a cold front. Some sea fog could develop later
this week until dry offshore flow arrives Friday night behind the
front.
