SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS

A moderate north to northeast wind will continue to decrease
across the offshore Gulf waters through this evening. A weak to
moderate northeast flow can be expected overnight across bays and
coastal waters. A coastal trough will develop along the lower
Texas coast late tonight and move toward the coastal waters of the
middle Texas coast on Wednesday. Scattered to numerous showers
will develop with this coastal trough, along with a
restrengthening northeast flow to moderate levels. Winds will
briefly strengthen Wednesday night to moderate to strong levels.
Rain chances will continue across the coastal waters Thursday
through Friday as a coastal trough meanders across the western
Gulf of Mexico. A frontal boundary will push through the region on
Friday, diminishing rain chances through Sunday morning. Another
cold front will move across the area on Sunday, and winds are
expected to reach SCA to borderline Gale criteria on its wake. A
strong northerly flow is expected Sunday afternoon through Sunday
night across the coastal waters.
