Synopsis for Eastern North Carolina coastal waters

Moderate northeasterly winds and elevated seas across the coastal waters south of Cape Lookout will gradually lay down by this evening. High pressure will remain in place through the end of the week. Over the weekend and into early next week, low pressure moving north through the Southeast U.S. will be accompanied by a warm front that will lift north through the ENC waters. This front will be accompanied by a risk of thunderstorms and moderate southeast to south winds.
