High pressure along the East Coast continues to strengthen through early this week, leading to a period of very warm and dry conditions. A cold front moves in Wednesday into Thursday, bringing showers and thunderstorms to the area. Cooler temperatures move in behind the front for the end of the week with the potential for a prolonged period of more unsettled weather into the weekend.
