Synopsis for the Long Island and Connecticut coastal waters

High pressure across the area this morning shifts offshore as a weak clipper low passes to the north tonight. A stronger low approaching on Wednesday will pass to the north and send a cold front through Wednesday night. High pressure will then build southeast from the northern Plains to the Mid Atlantic coast from Thursday into Friday, then move off the Southeast coast Friday afternoon. Another clipper low will pass close by Friday night into Saturday.
