COASTAL WATERS FROM STONINGTON ME TO MERRIMACK RIVER MA OUT TO 25 NM

ANZ100-021330
629 PM EST Thu Jan 1 2026

Synopsis for Stonington ME to Merrimack River Ma out to 25 NM

The cold air over the relatively warm water will allow for gale force gusts over all waters through tonight. A few gale force gusts may be possible outside of the bays Friday before winds and seas gradually diminish over the weekend. Gusty conditions are likely to linger through early next week however as reinforcing shots of cold air arrive across the Northeast. With the return of colder air comes the return of freezing spray as well, with periods of moderate freezing spray anticipated into Saturday.
