Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters

High pressure remains anchored near Bermuda leading to prolonged south to southwest winds across the coastal waters. Still, cannot rule out localized sea breezes near shore. A few strong to severe storms are possible this evening with frequent lightning and gusty winds. High pressure breaks down by early next week, permitting a front to stall across the waters by mid week.
