A strong cold front crosses the waters this morning, bringing an abrupt shift to strong westerly winds through Friday morning. Antoher period of elevated southwest winds are expected Friday night into Saturday morning as high pressure shifts offshore and low pressure moves through the Great Lakes region. By Sunday, a low pressure may develop offshore, though uncertainty remains high.
