West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS
A low pressure trough will move SE over the N and central waters early today as high pressure moves into the central and S waters through the afternoon. The high will briefly across the N region later today. High pressure will move E of the area tonight as a warm front develops and slowly lifts N over the central and N waters Sat, passing N of the region Sat night. A cold front will approach from the W late Sat, and then move near or just off the coast Sat night. Low pressure will develop along the front over the S waters early Sun, and track NE Sun into early Sun night while intensifying. The low will move NE of the area by late Sun night. A weak high pressure ridge will briefly build in over the waters Mon, followed by another cold front moving through the waters Mon night into Tue. High pressure will gradually build E toward the coast Tue, and begin to build off the coast Tue night. The NAVTEX transmitter in Charleston is not operational at this time. Technicians are aware, and parts have been ordered.
