Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS
High pressure just S of the region this evening will shift SE of the waters later tonight as a warm front lifts N over the area. A cold front will move E across the waters Thu, followed by a secondary cold front Thu night into Fri. Another high will pass S of the region Fri, before a strong cold front crosses the area late Fri into Fri night. High pressure will build NW and N of the region Sat and Sat night, then shift N Sun and Sun night. Developing low pressure will track NE while approaching the area Sat night into Sun, then move E across the far S waters late Sun into Mon before passing E of the region late Mon and Mon night. Mariners are advised to monitor the latest OPC forecasts for this potential developing system.
