Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters

A low pressure system will develop north of the islands this weekend, then drift to the southwest. This disturbance will likely bring unsettled weather conditions to the local waters Saturday night through early next week, including areas of heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms. Strong to near gale force easterly winds will also fill in late Sunday into Monday and produce rough conditions across the state through mid next week.
