SYNOPSIS FOR FAR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST

AT 1 PM...A DEEP LOW OF 971 MB WAS 260 NM WEST OF THE WASHINGTON
COAST AND A COLD FRONT WAS ORIENTED NORTHEAST TO SOUTHWEST ACROSS
DEATH VALLEY...CHANNEL ISLANDS AND THEN FAR OFFSHORE. ANOTHER
STRONG PACIFIC STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION TODAY AND BRING
INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. THIS STORM WILL
BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF STRONG WINDS...ROUGH AND HAZARDOUS
SEAS...AND OCCASIONAL HEAVY RAIN SQUALLS TO THE COASTAL WATERS.
THERE WILL ALSO BE A SLIGHT RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY MORNING
THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT. A GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT
THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED BEGINNING WEDNESDAY.
