.Synopsis for the southern California coast and Santa Barbara
Channel including the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
and National Park...at 15Z...or 7 AM PST...A 1040 MB high was
centered in Idaho. A weak trough of low pressure was located along
the CA coast. Little change in this weather pattern can be expected
through Fri morning. Gusty NE winds with choppy seas will affect the
near shore waters south of Ventura today, and to a lesser extent Fri
morning. Smoke from the Thomas fire may locally reduce visibilities
down to 1SM across the E Santa Barbara Channel tonight through Thu.
