SYNOPSIS FOR PASCAGOULA TO ATCHAFALAYA RIVER OUT 60 NM

A surface ridge will remain overhead or just to the northeast of the local area through the end of the week before becoming anchored northeast of the area early next week. That placement of the ridge in relation to the nearby coastal waters will result in moderate east to southeasterly winds of 10 to 15 knots. Slight directional changes due to sea/lake/land breeze influences across the near shore waters, sounds, and tidal lakes can be expected. Waves and seas will generally be in the 1-2 ft for nearshore and protected waters with 2- 4 ft in the outer waters.
