out to 60 nautical miles.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3
of the waves...along with occasional height of the average highest
10 percent of the waves.

SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS

A strong arctic cold front is moving through the Middle Texas
coastal waters early this morning with very strong winds
developing behind it. Gale force wind gusts are expected
throughout the day into tonight. Scattered showers are also
possible today and tonight. There is a slight chance for sleet in
bay areas and near the coast mainly tonight. Winds will gradually
diminish late tonight but remain moderate to strong into
Wednesday before weakening further. Another weather disturbance
will affect the area Wednesday Night into Thursday bringing
additional changes of precipitation. A return to southerly flow
and warmer conditions will occur over the upcoming weekend.

North wind 25 to 30 knots with gusts to around 40 knots

very rough. Showers likely and a chance of light freezing rain in
the morning, then light rain likely, a chance of light sleet and
light freezing rain likely in the afternoon.

TONIGHT
North wind 20 to 25 knots decreasing to 15 to 20 knots
after midnight. Bays choppy to rough. A chance of light rain and
light sleet in the evening, then a slight chance of light rain
and light sleet after midnight.

WEDNESDAY
North wind 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to
15 knots in the afternoon. Bays choppy to occasionally rough.
