third of the combined wind-wave and swell height.

SYNOPSIS FOR NORTHWEST COAST

A broad area of low pressure will persist over the area as a 976
mb low over Gambell will drift N to the Western Chukchi Sea by
Thu afternoon, and a 995 mb low will spin out of Siberia to St
Matthew Island. The lows will merge Fri in the Eastern Bering Sea,
as yet another low moves to the Central Bering Sea. By Sat morning
a single 984 mb low will be near Nunivak Island. The low then
move N up the coast to the Seward Peninsula by Sat afternoon.
