waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. synopsis, a ridge of 30.4 inches over new england and the western great lakes will shift slowly off the eastern seaboard today. a 30.1 inch trough will follow across lake superior tonight into tuesday. another high pressure ridge of 30.2 inches will follow on wednesday. as the second ridge exits on wednesday evening, a trough of 29.8 inches will move into northern ontario through wednesday night and then sweep across lake superior through thursday. a 30.1 inch ridge will shift over the upper great lakes on friday as a 29.7 inch low over northwestern ontario tracks southward into the upper great lakes on early saturday morning.
