waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. synopsis, a low pressure trough of 29.9 inches over northern ontario will drop south across lake superior by this evening. a 30.0 inch ridge will return over the upper great lakes late tonight and will remain nearly stationary before drifting to lake huron by friday morning. a 29.8 inch trough will track across the upper great lakes friday night while a 29.7 inch low pressure system moves from illinois to lower lake michigan. as the low moves to new england on sunday, a 30.2 inch high pressure ridge will build over the upper great lakes and remain nearly stationary through monday.
